Reviving an Island with Purpose

Marjan Island, once an underutilized and deteriorating space, is set to become a premier hospitality destination in Dammam. The transformation reimagines its existing structures, repurposing mid-90s pavilions into elegant guest suites that blend history with modern comfort. Complementing these are stunning over-the-water villas, offering a serene escape above the Arabian Gulf. The design seamlessly integrates luxury with nature, creating a resort that is both exclusive and environmentally responsible, ensuring visitors can experience tranquility, privacy, and breathtaking sea views in a setting that respects the island’s rich landscape.

A Commitment to Sustainable Luxury

At the heart of Marjan Island’s transformation is a strong commitment to sustainability. A closed-circuit greywater recycling system ensures efficient water use, while solar-powered jacuzzis and cooling systems help regulate the island’s climate. Fresh produce from an on-site edible garden supports farm-to-table dining, minimizing food transportation and reducing the resort’s carbon footprint. These initiatives, combined with eco-friendly architecture, redefine what it means to stay in a luxury resort, offering guests an experience that is not only indulgent but also conscious of the environment.

An Experience Open to All

While exclusivity defines Marjan Island’s resort accommodations, part of the island remains accessible to the public, fostering a connection between visitors and the local culture. A curated selection of restaurants, cafés, and open-air markets showcases fresh, locally-sourced cuisine, while outdoor spaces encourage recreational and cultural activities. Art installations, walking trails, and sustainable tourism initiatives create a lively yet tranquil atmosphere, ensuring Marjan Island is not just a resort but a vibrant destination for all. This project sets a benchmark for eco-conscious development, demonstrating that luxury and public engagement can coexist in perfect harmony.
